The Senior Manager Project Management Marketing leads integrated marketing projects. The University of Phoenix Marketing team is responsible for the development and execution of all University of Phoenix related marketing and advertising programs with the goal of communicating the University of Phoenix mission, benefits and value to a multitude of audiences. The University of Phoenix marketing team includes the management of brand, strategy and creative and supported by media buying, and project management teams.


  1. Works with internal or external clients in the development of business plans, strategies and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.

  2. Participates in vendor relationships including conducting planning session with vendors and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations.

  3. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background.

  4. Makes presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope.

  5. Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion.

  6. Secures required resources, and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes.

  7. Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. At the higher levels, incumbents manage large multifaceted projects

  8. Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion.

  9. Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.

  10. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.

  11. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions


Basic Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience.

• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience.

Additional Requirements:

• Working towards or have achieved certification in project management.

• Broad business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area.
